We believe in the power of partnership and know that small acts, multiplied by hundreds of people, can transform communities. Every dollar donated works towards making a significant impact in the Hopewell community, and we would love to hear your ideas!

We hope you find our third-party fundraising beneficial in learning about the work we do here at Hopewell, how you join in on our mission, how we can assist you throughout the process of planning your event, and inspire you join us in enriching the lives of individuals with a range of physical and developmental abilities to experience a full life. Our Event Checklist and Third-Party Fundraising Ideas can help get the creative juices flowing. Once you have submitted your event proposal to us, you can expect to hear from us within two weeks.

Our Mission and Impact

We support individuals of all ages with a wide variety of unique strengths and capabilities.  We offer an individualized support model for each participant so that they will achieve their maximum potential and experience a full and enriched life.  In addition to our commitment to provide outstanding service to supported individuals, Hopewell also provides specialized programs for people who are living with complex needs that require medical, and/or behavioural supports.

We envision a community where all people can reach their full potential in supportive and caring environments.

What is a Third-Party Fundraiser?

Third-party fundraisers are initiatives or events organized by businesses, community organizations, or individuals choosing to honor the work and mission of Hopewell and the community that we serve. Third-party fundraisers are a vital resource for increasing awareness and ensuring sustainability for our organization.  

Why we need you help

The demand for specialized support in our communities is steadily increasing and has created significant concern. Community connection sits at the core of Hopewell. Your third-party fundraiser can make a significant difference for our non-profit in strengthening our support base, increasing awareness about our services, and inspiring your own connections.  With your help, additional funding could allow us to expand our supports to the community. Help us to continue to be creative in offering new and exciting respite supports services to families in our community!

 

How your help makes a difference

Hopewell offers three pillars of service:  residential supports, respite supports and recreational supports. Hopewell is committed to providing our region with a valuable community benefit – a place where families can turn to, where we can meet the unique needs of everyone with respect, compassion, and hope at its center. Your support ensures that our programming is accessible to community members for as long as they want or need them. We are proud to say that thanks to Ministry funding, many of our programs are offered free of charge to the community, to ensure that finances are never a barrier to participation. With your support, we can go above and beyond ministry funding, creating more opportunities for fulfillment, and offer exciting new programs to the community!

How we can support you:
  • Donation forms
  • Issue tax receipts, subject to Canada Revenue Agency guidelines
  • A script that helps you to share the works we do and why they should join in on our mission
  • Promotion through our website, newsletter, and social media accounts

How Hopewell Third-Party Fundraising Works  

Though your fundraiser is independent from Hopewell, we are happy to help you with our knowledge and support. There are endless ways that you can raise funds to support the Hopewell community. Whether it’s a litter clean up, an awareness campaign, an auction, or your own creation, you have a huge impact on our Hopewell family.

  1. Come up with your idea! Whether you are or choosing an initiative that resonates with you, or there are item(s) you would like to fundraise for - how do you want to raise money for Hopewell?  
  2. Fill out the online event proposal form. Our Fund Development Coordinator will get back to you within two weeks to chat about your event.  
  3. Host your event! Have fun, snap photos at the event, and share it far and wide – show the community how much you care to make a difference and what Hopewell means to you!
  4. Report back and let us know how much you were able to raise!  We would love to join you in thanking your donors.

EVENT CHECKLIST

You’ve got the inspiration and we can give you the support you need! We’ve compiled a checklist to get you started on your exciting fundraising endeavour. After you’ve reviewed the checklist, fill out our Event Proposal Form and we’ll reach out soon after so we can begin propelling your ideas into action!

When deciding what type of event you would like to plan, keep in mind the time of year, what else is going on that month in the community, how much time you’ll need to pull it together, and how much help you are going to need. Whether its your first time hosting an event, or your tenth, volunteers are a vital resource and can make your life much easier!

Here are a few ideas to consider when getting started. Make sure your event resonates with you – what makes sense for your interests and passions, or how you would like to bring people together in the community.
